Details:

As the Council celebrates its 50th anniversary, and as a lead-up to the 10th Word Congress, the CTBUH Seattle Chapter is launching a series of forums that will explore the city’s progress, looking back at the last 50 years of growth, as well as ahead to what comes next. Seattle has a rich urban planning history of creative partnerships that have allowed forward progress; sometimes fast, sometimes slow. Are we learning from our past? What comes next?

Using the Seattle Waterfront as a case study, this first forum will explore the partnerships that ultimately got this part of the city’s redevelopment moving forward, and how those lessons learned can help inform other parts of our cities growth.

Panelists will include:

  • Don Blakney, VP, Advocacy & Economic Development, Downtown Seattle Association – moderator
  • Ralph Graves, Senior Director, Capital Development, Port of Seattle
  • Heidi Hughes, Executive Director, Friends of Waterfront
  • Josh Curtis or Marshall Foster, City of Seattle
  • Andy Wattula, Senior Vice President, Hudson Pacific Properties
